Yes Yes, another post today, what can I say, I am burning up time...
Going to watch that Open Season...should be good...

But, about this author...
You may never have heard of him, but if you have, you will know all his work...
His name is Douglas Coupland.

I have read 2 of his books and both pwned...
Mind you, both were about techie type life and the such but wow....
Right now I am reading another of his books that is not about techie life and it is great too...
Plus, when I was in Portland I stopped in at Powell's Used Books and got an autographed first edition of one of his earlier pieces...

In an attempt to broaden my horizons, I have decided to learn French. I just wanted to learn another language and being that French is the other National language I figured what the hell...

I was trying to learn Japanese but, wow, that is some hard shit to do on your own...

French seems to be easier. I don't know if that is because I learned a bit of it when my mind was not so set in its ways (junior high and high school) or if it is just simply easier because the characters are pretty much the same, save those silly upside down question marks...hahaha

Anyways, I will possibly try a post soon, en francais....we will see....

My friends and I play poker pretty much every week in a fun little tournament style game. We all buy in for 20 bucks and the top 3 are paid out. We usually have anywhere between 5-12 people so it ends up being a pretty sweet haul, should you win.

First off, we only play No-Limit Texas Hold'em. We have tried Omaha and Razz but they suck when you are playing for such a small amount of cash, hence everyone see's the river and the best hand usually gets drawn out on...this is not the case with NL Tex Hold'em...

Blinds go up every 20 minutes, 15 if we have a ton of people. Usually we draw for seats, pick a card style.

Payouts usually go: one buy in for third, and then first and second split the rest 70%-%30. We usually do re-buys for the first hour, but only if you are busted...

Everyone takes their turn at winning, as everyone is pretty evenly matched in our game, the cards usually decide the outcome...

That's the Friday night Poker Tourney here in Mr.Aw3some land....
Most of us play online on FullTiltPoker.com as well but mostly just for fun...
